Learning through play: Our philosophy
At Jollyware.com, we believe
that children learn more quickly when they are enjoying
themselves. This observation forms the basis for all
of our software products. Jollyware.com was
founded by parents that wanted to teach their children
computer skills at an early age and develop their
confidence
Every Jollyware product is designed
to teach something of value to the child that is using
the product while also entertaining the child and
encouraging them to play more and therefore learn
more. Cognitive skills and computer skills which we
often take for granted as adults can be taught to
children at a very early age - often without them
being fully aware of how much they are learning! We
often hear from parents who have been surprised at
how much their child is capable of when playing our
games. We have heard of children as young as 18 months
using JollyPairs by pointing at the screen and enlisting
the help of an adult to perform the actual mouse clicks!
Our products are designed to be used
primarily by children. As such, children can very
quickly learn how to use each product and in a short
amount of time they will have gained sufficient confidence
to use the software on their own or with minimal adult
supervision. As well as being good for the child this
can also buy back some quality adult time!
Above all, the feedback we consistently
hear is that children LOVE to play these games. This
is the most important point of all and develops a
positive mental attitude towards technology, play
and learning
