Installation
JollyPaintbook evaluation version
can be downloaded from our download page. If you have not
already downloaded the evaluation version then do so by
clicking here.
Please note that if you already have an evaluation version
installed then you should NOT install another copy on your
machine. If you do so, you will automatically expire the
evaluation period and will not be able to use the software
Once the installation program
has been downloaded, you should run it from wherever you
downloaded it. Use Windows Explorer to find the program
on your machine
You may be advised to restart
your machine at the end of the installation. Please do
not ignore this! On some operating systems important
system files are only installed AFTER a reboot as they cannot
be installed while Windows is running. You will experience
problems if you do not reboot your machine when advised
to do so

of JollyPaintbook then there are no additional files to
download or install. Click here

Running
JollyPaintbook is run via the
Desktop shortcut, Quicklaunch shortcut or Start menu shortcut.
The JollyPaintbook Configuration program is available via
the Start menu shortcut. The Start menu shortcuts are installed
into the Start > Programs > Jollyware > JollyPaintbook
program group (unless you specified a different location
during installation)

errors while running JollyPaintbook then please let us know
and we will advise you as best we can. You can contact us
via email by clicking here
Registration
JollyPaintbook is shareware.
This means that you are allowed to run the program for evaluation
purposes to see if you would like to buy it. When you install
JollyPaintbook, you must agree to our End User License Agreement
(EULA) which dictates that you will abide by the conditions
of the agreement. Under these conditions, you are only allowed
to install and run the program for evaluation purposes.
If you decide not to buy the product after the evaluation
period has finished, you should uninstall JollyPaintbook
from your system
If you purchase JollyPaintbook
you will be sent an email from us containing a set of activation
codes. These codes identify you as a customer (for support
purposes) and unlock the registered version of the product.
When you receive this email, you should copy the
activation code section of the mail (see picture below)
and paste it into the registration screen of the
Configuration Program:

Unlocking JollyPaintbook
The screenshot to the left shows the Product Registration
screen. You will need to copy your information from
your registration email and paste it into the large
white box
When you then click the blue
OK button your information will be verified
NOTE: The Product Registration screen
is activated by clicking on the pink
Unlock button in the Configuration program. Once you
have registered and unlocked JollyPaintbook, this
button will no longer appear

Once you have pasted this information
into the large white area, click the blue
OK button and the information will be verified. Assuming
you have pasted the correct information into the white area
then you will be informed that the registration has been
successful. If you receive a message stating that the information
could not be verified then please try again making sure
that you copy all of the activation code section of the
email into the white area. If you are unable to activate
your product then please mail us by clicking here.
You must include your order number and a clear description
of your problem in your email
Configuration
The Configuration program can
be launched from the Windows Start menu. It allows you to
specify a number of options for the software
The Configuration program window
allows you to specify which color palette will be available
when using the program. We recommend using the Basic
palette for young children as it presents a small number
of colors which is a lot less confusing! If you select the
Advanced palette then JollyPaintbook will decide
on the best palette to use according to your display settings.
To ensure that the maximum number of colors will be available
you should set your display setting to True Color. To change
your display settings you simply right-click on your desktop,
choose Properties and select the Settings page
FAQ
Q: When I start the game it tells me it
has expired. What does this mean?

This means that you have
used up the evaluation period. You should now either
buy the game
or uninstall it as stated in the End User License Agreement
